Accepting these terms
These terms cover your use of the Groundwork Denton Concrete Company website and any estimate or work you ask us for through it. By using the site, calling us or sending the contact form, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.
A signed estimate or written agreement for a specific job wins over these terms wherever the two differ, because it covers your job and these terms are general.
What we do
Groundwork Denton Concrete Company is a concrete contractor in Denton, TX. We build driveways, patios, sidewalks, steps, slabs, footings, retaining walls and other concrete work for homes and businesses in Denton and the cities around it. You can read more about our crew on our About page and see our services from the home page.
The descriptions on this site are general. They explain how this kind of work usually goes. They don't promise a result for your property, because every job depends on the ground, drainage and conditions we find once we're on site.
Estimates and pricing
We give free estimates at your property, with no obligation. An estimate is based on what we can see and measure on the day we visit, including size, slab thickness, access, the condition of the ground and any old concrete that has to come out.
If we find something we couldn't see during the estimate, such as soft or wet subgrade, which is the soil the slab sits on, buried debris or old concrete thicker than expected, we'll stop and talk with you before doing extra work. We won't charge for added work you haven't approved.
Any price ranges or examples on this website are for general information only. They aren't a quote, and only a written estimate from us sets the price for your job.
Scheduling, weather and cancellation
We schedule pours around the weather, because rain, freezing temperatures or extreme heat can weaken new concrete. If conditions aren't right, we'll move the pour to the next good day and let you know as soon as we can. A weather delay isn't a breach of our agreement by either side.
New concrete needs time to cure, which means it has to sit and harden before it can carry weight. We'll tell you when it's safe to walk and drive on it. You agree to keep people, pets and vehicles off the work until then.
If you need to cancel or reschedule, please call us at (940) 287-2036 as early as you can. Cancellation terms for a specific job, including any cost for materials already ordered or work already done, are set out in your written estimate or agreement.
Payment
The payment amount, schedule and accepted methods for your job are set out in your written estimate or agreement. Please read them before you sign, and ask us about anything that isn't clear.
If a payment is late, we may pause work until it's settled. Where Texas law allows, unpaid balances may be collected as the law permits, including any lien rights a contractor has under state law.
Our work and what we don't guarantee
We're licensed and insured, and we stand behind our work. Your satisfaction is guaranteed, so if something about the finished job isn't right, call us and we'll come look at it. Any specific written warranty for your job will be listed in your estimate or agreement, and that document sets its terms.
Concrete can develop small hairline cracks as it shrinks and as the ground moves, even when the job is done right. We cut control joints, which are planned grooves that give cracks a place to form, to keep them in lines we choose. Hairline cracks, small color differences, and wear from salt, chemicals, heavy equipment or poor drainage the homeowner controls aren't defects in our work.
Apart from what's written in your estimate or agreement, and to the extent Texas law allows, we make no other promises, express or implied, about the work or this website.
Limits on our liability
To the extent Texas law allows, Groundwork Denton Concrete Company isn't liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses, such as lost use of your property, connected with our work or with this website. Our total liability for any job is limited to the amount you paid us for that job.
We aren't responsible for damage caused by things outside our control, including severe weather, ground movement, flooding, changes made by others after we finish, or underground lines and objects that weren't marked or disclosed to us.
Nothing in these terms limits any right you have that Texas law says can't be limited.
Using this website
The text, photos and design on this site belong to Groundwork Denton Concrete Company. You can view and share pages for personal use, but please don't copy them for business use without asking us.
We try to keep the site accurate and working, but we can't promise it will always be available or free of errors. Links to other websites are there for your convenience, and we aren't responsible for their content.
Resolving a disagreement
If you have a problem with our work or a bill, please call us at (940) 287-2036 or reach us through our Contact page first. Most problems get settled faster with a conversation and a visit to the job than any other way.
If we can't settle it together, you and we agree to try good-faith mediation before going to court, unless urgent relief is needed. Any lawsuit will be brought in the state courts located in Denton County, Texas.
Governing law
These terms and any work we do for you are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its rules on conflicts of law.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The version posted on this page applies to your use of the site from the day it's posted. Changes don't alter a written estimate or agreement you've already signed with us.
If you have a question about these terms, call us at (940) 287-2036, Mon–Sun: 8 AM–9 PM, or send a message through our Contact page. We reply within 1 business day.
